Yep that's Me...Yep

Guess Who is writing for the Miami Film Festival!!!

I'm so excited!!! Today I got an amazing call from an Exclusive NY Film Company to come on board as the writer of their upcoming movie for the Miami Film Festival in the Spring. For anyone in the industry that has been in movies or has even been a part of the filming process then you know how long this can actually take. The movie has to be written, then shot, then edited before the finished product is shown to the public. This process can take a year sometimes but DAMMIT I'm geeked!!! I'm WRITING AN OFFICIAL MOVIE!!!! Can ya'll hear me screaming!!! This is Soooooo Major!!! Gosh, I promise myself, my readers, followers, fans, family, associates and friends that I am going to go HAM on this project and put blood, sweat and tears into the script. It's On....Stay tuned because the train is MOVING!

My Review of the Apple Iphone 4

I recently purchased the Apple I phone 4 and I have PLENTY to say about it.

I brought the all white 16GB phone because I didn't want a traditional black and since I only use my phone for email, social sites, texting and calling...i figured I didn't need much memory. I'm the type of person that dont use a lot of memory on pictures because soon as I snap a pic, I email it to my gmail and delete the pic of my phone afterwards. I got in the habit of doing that because if something happens to my phone then I know I will always have my pictures backed up on my email. If you tend to store documents, presentations, lots of pics and etc then you may need the 32GB phone.

The Journey: For the last 8 years I have been a loyal BlackBerry customer so this year I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted a small transition and I wasn't quite ready for an all touch screen phone. I wanted a smart phone with a full keyboard. This year alone I have had 3Brand new smart phones from Verizon. It's only September so as you may notice something is NOT normal about having to purchase 3 New phones. I started out with the Droid2 Global and I feel in love with the phone until it kept overheating every 20mins. The screen froze up wayyyyy more than I could tolerate and 4weeks into having the phone, it died and never came back to life. Seriously!! My Droid was 4weeks old and when the battery died one day it wouldn't turn back on. I had to warranty that phone out and Verizon sent me a new one (same phone). This phone didn't overheat but the touchscreen feature barely worked and that's a major problem because it's the most important function on the phone. This particular model had the full slide out keyboard as well. After about 2months of having that phone, I made the decision to get the iPhone. Actually I feel as though I was kinda forced into this decision because my Droid2 Global replacement turned out to be just as crappy as the first one. Please keep in mind that these phones were supposedly brand new.
Ok so I called and got an Upgrade to the Iphone.

iPhone customer Day #1: I waited about 3business days to get my phone delivered to me. By this time I was excited and anxious about getting it activated. Before you can even use the phone, u have to hook it up to a computer and download iTunes on it. I thought that was strange and a little aggravating since I never had an iTunes account before. After that was done, I noticed that my phone didn't have many standard apps preinstalled so I had to download my social sites, and alarm and the dictionary lol. After that I left the phone AS IS and checked out it's other features. I was falling in love.

iPhone customer Day #2: Today I'm absolutely happy about my recent purchase and I'm feeling like FINALLY I got a phone that works and one that I love.

iPhone customer Day #3: 6:30am I'm up and waiting for my Alarm App to go off and guess what? IT DIDN'T. Thank God I was up because if I had been relying on my phone then I would have been late to work. Upon further inspection I noticed that my brand new iphone was frozen and only bouncing from the "Lock Screen" to the "Apple Icon" screen. Other than this, the phone wouldn't do ANYTHING else. I couldn't unlock it, dial out, power it off or anything. You can't pop the battery out because it doen't have one. After everything that I have been through with Verizon phones, I really didn't want to be going through this again. I end up having to take the phone to a Verizon Retail store to have one of their reps fix it. To make a long story short they couldn't so they recommended that I take it to the Apple Store. I was HEATED!!! I never ever thought I would be up in the Apple store because it's only 1 in this area and the waiting list to get inside is always at least an hour long.

Ok so I went to the Apple Store, it took them a while to fix it so they ended up ordering me a new one. I'm currently waiting my 5-7days for that to come in the mail.

So all in all Im waiting for my FORTH phone this year but I think the Apple iPhone is going make me love it again. I will keep you updated:)

My Review of the Tank Concert

One of my favorite R&B Singers of all times just headlined here in Virginia. Tank and all of his fineness was at the Portsmouth, Pavilion on the P-Town Waterfront. Ok so what does Royal Beauty think about the performances??

First of all, another one of my fav artist opened up for Tank. Yep, Avant dropped through and did his thing and I thought I was in love with him until I saw him in person. He's kinda short and he is gaining a little weight. Now I'm not a girl that's against a man with meat on his bones because my husband is not a chico stick, he is a 250 plus brother and I love every bit of him. Ok back to Avant, something about his physical apperance didn't really turn me on, I mean he had a couple of sexy seconds but overall I could've closed my eyes and just listened to him and would have been equally satisfied. I still love him but hey...it is what it is, he has a voice of an angel and that's where it stops for me.
Ledisi, came on Next. Yep WTH, right? Don't get me wrong, this woman's vocal range is one of the best in the industry right up there with Pattie Labelle but she wasn't a good fit for this type of sexual, four play, bedroom lyrics type of R&B. When she came on and did her thing, my juices dried up Lol. She was good but I was mentally ready for some...ok nevermind, u get the point. What pissed me off was the amount of time they gave her. She sang more songs than Avant and she was on stage for well over an hour. Before she came on, the stage hands were prepping the stage like she was the damn headliner. How the heck did Avant open for her?? I was ready for this honey to shut the hell up and bring out my boo Tank!

Finally the man of the hour, graced the stage in an all black Tailor made GQ cut suit. He's was BEYOND sexy!!! His body was perfectly fit and the swag was on One Trillion! I couldn't get good pictures because the lights where too bright and I was right in the front but TRUST me he put on a show. He brought a girl up on stage and fondle her, kissed her neck and spinned the chick around and....use your imagination LOL!! IT WAS EVERYTHING!!! He gave away some money by asking "Who in here got their nails, feet and hair done to come see me and ain't no man do it for you", the women went crazy and he randomly picked a few out of the crowd and gave them money. He performed a few of his hits and I was having a moment. A very happy moment until he concluded the show after only being on the stage for maybe 30minutes. Yeah, he had to be at another club and the show was running late because of the other openers and all the time they took to set up so my boo was on and off the stage, wayyyy to quickly for me.

Needless to say...I was disappointed but I'm glad I saw him. If I had to grade it, I give the concert a B-

U don't have 2b a Model 2Produce Great Photos

Time and Time again, women come up to me and say, Vee I want to take some pictures but I don't know how to pose. My first response is "yes you do". Anyone can pose but the key is CONFIDENCE!

Confidence is a MUST on the set of a photoshoot. You can't hide it from the lens, the camera will pick up every amount of insecurity in you. Women are naturally sexy so you have to pull from that source when taking professional photos. Here are some key tips you want to keep in mind:

1. Facial expressions: You really don't have to over do the facial expressions. Some do, some don't. It depends on how extensive you want your photo portfolio to be. Me personally, I'm not a model so I just take pictures for fun and to hang up in my home. Be aware of the expression on your face. Have confidence and like Tyra say "Smile with your eyes". Smiling with your eyes is a sexy squint. It's almost like you are piercing someone's soul with your stare. It's a seductive look and it works every time. oh and keep in mind that you don't always have to look into the lens, you can look away from it to and capture an amazing photo.

2.Body Language is EVERYTHING! You have to be aware of all your body parts and pose from each one of them. Practice makes perfect so purchase a full length mirror and play in front of it often. Before you know it you will become fully aware of your best angles and these are the ones you use in your shoots.

3. Makeup: Yes my darlings...you will need a MUA (makeup artist) This is essential. A MUA is going to make you look as close to perfection as possible and don't be a smartass, cuz WE ALL HAVE IMPERFECTIONS Lol. Your makeup application should ENHANCE your beauty NOT completely change your face! Less is more! There are small things you can do to the face to make you look "High Fashion", consult with your MUA for tips

3. Your Fit: The outfit you chose to do your shoot in should be timeless. Again Less is more. Don't over do it and make sure your clothes are fitting and that you have a foundation on if your belly is a little sizable (if you know what I mean). If that went over your head then let me spell it out: PUT A GURTLE ON! A SPANX or something lol! Hell, sometimes I double up my spanx lol! It work every time! If your legs have scars that camouflage them with a few pair of translucent stockings. Yes I said a "few" pair. Stockings holds that jiggle in the thighs together and you may need a few pair on to create a "tight-fitted" look. If you don't want to double up your stockings then wear some fishnets or lace stockings, they will also get the job done.

4. Your hair: Your hair should be a bit over exaggerated. You may need to glue/sew in a few pieces to give yourself a "full look". I recommend you get your hair done a 1-2days before a shoot so if you don't like it you can alter it.

5. Shoes/accessories: If your backdrop calls for shoes then your heel size should be high and fairly new. Practice walking in your heels so that you don't stand with an unattractive lean. Your heels should be a solid color because you don't want them to be the focal point of your picture. Your accessories should be oversized and couture. Look through fashion magazines to get ideas and inspiration. Your accessories can make an extremely plain outfit look runway worthy!

Everything on you and about you should be cohesive, meaning everything should work together. Follow these tips and you will have EPIC photos!! Good luck to you!

Epic Photography

Yesterday I had an Epic Photoshoot! I can't wait to share the pictures with you! As soon as they hit my email I will be uploading and showing you the timeless masterpieces! I'm not over exaggerating either lol!

I'm not a model but I love taking pictures! My official photographer is Issa Bolden and our creativity and working chemistry is growing! Yesterday he collaborated with other photographer friend of his by the name of Chance Green and the pictures they produced are magazine worthy! It was a group shoot and the theme was very rugged, sexy, dominate and fierce! Honestly words can't express the amount of sexy aggression that was being displayed so STAY TUNED for those pics this week!

Retail Therapy

All Fashionistas crave retail therapy. Any emotion can trigger our instant desire to shop shop shop!

To us shopping is equivalent to a sport. It's not really about splurging, it's more about finding unique pieces for a bargain. When we accomplish that....LAWD we feel like we have found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Let's take a step back and visit the emotional side to this sport. For the sake of time and space, I'm going to stick with the basic emotions...happy, mad and sad. Me personally, all of these make me want to shop. When I'm sad, I feel like finding something beautiful to make me smile again and to take my focus off the issue that is distracting me. When I'm mad, the same theory applies but now I'm shopping to kill time so that I can calm down and again it's a great distraction to the situation that has my emotions boiling. When I'm a happy shopper, it really goes down! I'm not as picky, I'm more creative and I'm more liberal with my budget.

Yep, a sista got a budget! Don't get it twisted! That's where the discipline comes into play. I try to stay away from swiping (credit cards) because that's the fastest way into debt. Shopping with cash is the simplest way to maintain control of exactly what you had in mind to spend. Discipline, Discipline, Discipline. All in all, retail therapy is a must in my life.
